We’ve been living in the Honeywood Estate for 3 years now – we rented at first while our home was built and we’ve been living in that for coming up on 2 years.

The community atmosphere of Fernvale and the estate was a big draw card for us. We’re looking to start our family very soon and wanted to make sure that we were somewhere that there was plenty of room for them to play and grow and also somewhere that felt safe.

The recent edition of the park in the estate has been fantastic! There’s also a fenced off area for the dogs which they love! It’s a great meeting point for people and a good opportunity to get to know your neighbours in the estate.
We’ve made friends for life in Honeywood! Fernvale may seem a little far to some people, but the peace and quiet that it offers is worth it!!

My wife and I moved to the HONEYWOOD Estate in November 2010 from Logan City with the view of a temporary stay as we had work commitments locally and liked the feel of the area. We’ve been living in the Honeywood Estate for 3 years now – we rented at first while our home was built and we’ve been living in that for coming up on 2 years

With the passing of time my wife and family are very happy here and what the area has to offer in respect to a holistic community. HONEYWOOD is a modern well managed estate with wide streets, good landscaping, parks and great capital growth future.A trip to Brisbane CBD is 45 minutes if needed, 15 to Ipswich and is connected by a transit service but most times we shop locally at the new shopping centre and local small businesses not to mention the Fernvale state school markets which has become an icon every weekend.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy if you like the outdoors provided by the Dams, river & scenic routes with the local restaurant, pub & tavern packed every weekend with visitors. We Love our Home.

After 20+ years of living in the big smoke then travelling around Australia in a caravan, we decided it was time for a tree change. A leisurely Sunday drive brought us west to Fernvale.

We loved the place so much we started looking at house and land. With several developments underway in the area, we settled on Honeywood Estate, because of its tranquillity. Being nestled amongst the paddocks and trees gives us the country lifestyle without the hard yakka of acreage maintenance and there’s so much for the kids to do. We’ve got great neighbours and a beautiful place to call home.

When my husband and I decided to build a home we looked everywhere for a block of land only to be laughed at when I would let the real estate agent know what our budget was, “you won’t find a block of land over 400sq for under $200,000.”

I left Honeywood till last as looking at the ad I thought it looked too up market and would be out of our price bracket. I almost didn’t call but as our last hope of finding an affordable block to build our dream home I called Jarod. We were able to purchase a bigger block than we were hoping for, at a cost which was less than budgeted.
Fernvale and the Honeywood Estate has provided us with everything we need, great value for money, great range of blocks, close to the shops yet still with that country feel. We have had dealings with everyone from Jarod in the sales office to the developers and all has been a great experience.

We have been in the estate for over a year now and it is still growing, with pathways to parks, with swings even a dog walking area. Fernvale is a wonderful place to raise a family, with lots of parks for children to play at and beautiful scenery at the dams and waterways with the mountains in the back drop. The first time we took our family to the dam for a swim I wished I had a photographer there to take family photo’s, it is very picturesque.
Every time we spoke to people there was never bad words said, for us we were sold on our first visit and after out first meeting with Jarod we found were we wanted to build our first home.

Fernvale is a small township east of Ipswich Qld that my wife and I passed through several times while returning to Sydney. This town had such a nice feel to it that we decided it would be a great place to live in when we retire. After looking at several properties around the district we always came back to the conclusion that Fernvale was the place.

After returning to Sydney I contacted Jarod the sales executive for the “Honeywood estate” an estate that is situated on an elevated position within walking distance of the township of Fernvale.
Jarod assisted as with the selection of our block, sent us many builder options and plans, nothing ever appeared to be a problem for Jarod, and he even assisted us on his days off.
Living interstate and attempting to construct a new home many kilometers away is not easy but our trips to Qld were kept to a minimum only because of the professional way that our affairs were managed by Jarod and for that we are grateful.

Honeywood estate is such a lovely quite place to live, the neighbours are great with a mix of retires and young families, nice semi rural views, great paved footpaths for that early morning or evening stroll, a beautiful park for the family to relax in with a dog run as well and only five minutes walk to the shopping centre, Woolworth’s are here as well.

There is a medical centre and a very efficient ambulance service as well with several paramedics’ residing in the estate, great for us older ones. Fernvale is also only six kilometers from Wivenhoe dam a great place for yachting, Bass fishing, and swimming or to just relax in the large public domain, the Brisbane River is also near by.
We are all so happy here, we just love this place.

Building our home in the Honeywood Estate is the best thing we’ve done for our family – we all love it! Everything is right at our fingertips – from Woolworths down the road to our daughters day care centre.

The sense of community is one of the things that we value most – everyone is just so friendly! I guess that’s what happens in a small town — that might not be that small for too much longer!
We would highly recommend the move to Fernvale – especially into the Honeywood Estate!
It’s a place to make friends for life!
